| High Velocity Oxy-Fuel (HVOF) Coatings
HVOF is a process utilizing super-sonic fuel exhaust gases to accelerate coating particles up to several times the speed of sound. The impact created at this velocity fuses and impregnates the base metal with bond strengths of 12K to 15K
Psi. HVOF does not rely on heat for fusion, therefore there is no distortion of the base metal or thermal stresses.
HVOF coatings can be applied to new irregular wear surfaces to extend service life or applied to build up worn wear surfaces in order to salvage existing parts.
